Five teams
are in the Tokyo area: the Giants and Swallows in Central Tokyo, the Lions in
West Tokyo and the Marines in East Tokyo. The BayStars are south in nearby Yokohama.
All are within an easy train ride.
Often overlooked in Tokyo is that the Swallows play in a continually rejuvenated
ballpark that once hosted Babe Ruth. The park is a JapanBall favorite.
In the greater Osaka-Kyoto-Nagoya area are the Buffaloes and Tigers in Osaka,
and the Dragons in Nagoya.
The Fighters are in Sapporo, the Hawks in Fukuoka, the Eagles in Sendai, and the Carp in Hiroshima.
