The Seibu Lions have acquired right-hander Matt Kinney, who has played in the major leagues for five seasons, the Pacific League club said Thursday.
Seibu and Kinney have agreed on a one-year contract carrying an annual salary of 50 million yen. The 30-year-old is 19-27 lifetime in 103 major league games, including a 10-13 record in 2003 with the Milwaukee Brewers.
