The Hiroshima Carp have acquired right-hander Jim Brower from the Houston Astros organization, the Central League club said Saturday.
Hiroshima and Brower have agreed on a one-year deal carrying a 20 million yen annual salary plus performance incentives. The 35-year-old has a 33-32 career record with five saves in 354 major league games over nine seasons.
