The Yakult Swallows said Friday they have acquired the services of Arizona Diamondbacks minor league infielder Jamie D'Antona on a one-year deal worth $500,000, plus performance-based incentives.
D'Antona, who played 18 games in the majors this past season, batted .365 with 21 home runs and 79 RBIs in 110 games for Triple-A Tucson in 2008.
