The Yokohama BayStars on Wednesday announced the acquisitions of right-hander Tom Mastny and left-hander Les Walrond, who both have had stints in the major leagues.
Mastny, 27, has a 9-5 career record with five saves and a 6.13 earned run average in 80 games for the Cleveland Indians during three seasons from 2006-2008. Walrond, 32, owns a 1-4 career record with a 7.07 ERA in a total of 23 games for the 2003 Kansas City Royals, 2006 Chicago Cubs and 2008 Philadelphia Phillies.
