Yokohama BayStars right-hander Daisuke Miura signed a three-year, 900 million yen free agent deal with the Central League club on Thursday.
The signing took place after Miura filed for free agency but opted to remain with the BayStars, for whom the 34-year-old has played for 17 years, by turning down an offer from the Hanshin Tigers earlier in the offseason.
Miura has a 124-122 career record with a 3.51 earned run average. He went 7-10 with a 3.56 ERA in 2008 in an injury-plagued season.
