Former Nippon Ham Fighters right-hander Ryan Glynn has been acquired by the Yokohama BayStars, the Central League club said Tuesday.
Glynn has signed a one-year deal with the BayStars carrying a salary of $900,000 plus performance bonuses.
The 34-year-old Glynn, who played his first season in Japan with the Rakuten Eagles in 2006, posted a 7-14 record with a 3.64 ERA in 26 games in 2008.
In 2007, he went 9-8 with a 2.21 ERA in 24 games to help lead the Fighters to their second straight Japan Series. Glynn has a career 23-29 record with a 3.23 ERA in Japan.
