The Hiroshima Carp said Tuesday they have acquired outfielder Jeff Fiorentino and infielder Justin Huber both on a one-year contract worth 40 million yen plus performance bonuses.
Fiorentino is a career .270 hitter with one homer and 21 RBIs in 58 major league games over four seasons with the Baltimore Orioles and Oakland Athletics.
Huber, who played for Australia in the 2009 World Baseball Classic, appeared in 72 big league games between 2005 and 2009, hitting .224 with two homers and 15 RBIs.
