The Lotte Marines on Saturday announced they had reached deals
with three of their foreign players for next season, including
30-year-old first baseman Josh Whitesell, who was the Pacific
League's July player of the month.

Whitesell, in his first PL season after two years with the
Central League's Yakult Swallows, batted .309 with a .397 on-base
percentage and 43 RBIs in 63 games. He received a one-year, $850,000
deal, nearly three times the $300,000 he signed for in 2012.

The Marines also inked Carlos Rosa. The 28-year-old right-hander
pitched in just 18 games this season with a 6.00 ERA, but was a
fixture in the Lotte bullpen the previous season when he posted a
2.08 ERA in 62 games. Rosa received a $350,000 deal with additional
performance-based incentives after earning $750,000 this season.

Lefty Wil Ledezma, a 31-year-old who was acquired during the
season and pitched just one game with the first team, signed a
one-year deal worth $800,000 with additional performance-based
incentives.

All monetary figures are estimates.
