The Orix Buffaloes have come to terms on 2013 contracts with right-hander Brandon Dickson and outfielder Vinny Rottino, a source within Orix revealed Thursday. An official announcement is expected this month.
The 28-year-old Dickson has pitched in eight big league games for the St. Louis Cardinals. In three Triple-A seasons, he has posted a 24-28 record with a 3.59 ERA.
Rottino, 32, has had cups of coffee with four big league clubs, batting .165 in 97 at-bats over five years. In seven Triple-A seasons, he has batted .294 with little power or speed. Now an outfielder, he has played every position on the field as a pro.
