The Central League's Hiroshima Carp said Thursday they have re-signed reliever Kam Mickolio and first baseman Brad Eldred to one-year contracts.
The 28-year-old Mickolio stepped into the closer's role on May 30, after incumbent Eric Sarfate proved ineffective and finished the year with 21 saves and 15 holds in 61 games out of the Carp bullpen.
Eldred, 32, was signed at the end of June and batted .262 with 11 home runs in 65 games after making his debut on July 10.
