Japan Baseball Tickets Online

Safe...Secure...Guaranteed

We're delighted to offer personal service for tickets to Japanese games, but first an entirely self-serving review:

Bob,

Everything was as promised.  You got us great seats, tickets arrived at our hotel on time, and unused ticket dollars were refunded to us in Japanese yen.

I've been to hundreds of major and minor league games in the states, but this experience in Japan was more spectacular than most all of them.

I’m often asked about getting tickets.  In the past I've suggested:

Stadium Ticket Windows

As you might guess, this is chancy given baseball's popularity, the habit of Japanese to purchase tickets well in advance, and often sold out games.

Ticket Outlets

I'd suggested advance-sale ticket outlets, but found myself feeling bad as so many became thwarted by failure to find an outlet, the language barrier, payment hassles, limited ticket availability at such outlets and sold out games.

Japanese Online

Online services are not terribly helpful with their failure to accept out-of-country credit cards, the need for a Japanese address/phone number, and the latest being online counterfeit ticket printing.  I've also now had people tell me they were barred entry because their printed ticket barcodes were not accepted.

Do What We Do

For those who want to be sure to see baseball, I finally woke up to simply suggest doing what I, along with scouts and other baseball personnel, do.  Have Wayne Graczyk, a colleague in Japan, get the tickets for you.

Wayne Graczyk was with the U.S. Air Force in Japan and is now a baseball columnist for The Japan Times, an interpreter for the Tokyo Giants television crew, and the editor for over 30 years of the Japan Baseball Media Guide.

There aren't that many foreigners going to Japanese games, so Wayne has the time to do this for the few who do want to go.

You pay Wayne exactly what we do - a modest tip for his efforts in getting your tickets and having them securely delivered to you.  His tip is more than made up for in travel time and money saved, hassle avoided, and peace of mind.

Wayne also becomes your personal Baseball Concierge in Japan.

Further, I'm happy to help you choose your game(s) based on your itinerary and idiosyncrasies of each ballpark.  You'll see my contact info below.

How It Works

1.  Pick your game(s).  Note that the first team listed on the schedule is the home team as is custom in Japan.  Click here for GAME SCHEDULES

2.  Order below with Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover or PayPal.

3.  Your tickets are securely couriered to your hotel or other address in Japan.

Guaranteed Ticket Delivery

Tickets will arrive by courier to your hotel or other address anywhere in Japan.  Guaranteed.

We've never failed to have tickets delivered as promised.

If you have a delivery address other than a hotel you can simply email it to us.

Tickets are never left without a signature.

All hotel front desks will sign for the tickets and hold them for you.

If you happen to live in Japan, are staying with friends, renting an apartment or the like, you must be sure someone is at your address to sign for the ticket envelope.  There is a three-hour window of time during which the tickets will arrive.

Once we purchase tickets on your behalf they're subject to the same terms under which we buy them, which is the usual baseball ticket lingo:  No refunds or exchanges.  All sales final.

Stadiums to Visit

If you're in Tokyo there are five teams from which to choose.  The Giants and Swallows are in central Tokyo, while the BayStars are in nearby Yokohama.  The Lions are in west Tokyo and the Marines in east Tokyo.  As a hedge against rain, the Giants and Lions play in domes.

In looking at games in Tokyo, an often overlooked fact is that the Swallows play in a continually rejuvenated old-time park that once hosted Babe Ruth.

In the greater Osaka area you can choose from the Buffaloes, Dragons and Tigers.  The Dragons and Buffaloes play in domes.

The Fighters are in Sapporo, the Hawks in Fukuoka, the Eagles in Sendai, and the Carp in Hiroshima.  The Fighters and Hawks play in domes.

Any Tigers game, home or away, is a tough ticket so you'll want to give as much lead time as possible.

In Case of Rain

If there's a rainout Wayne is happy to help you with that.

Your Seat Location

You'll have reserved seats as close to home plate and as close to an aisle as we can get them.

Don't wait to order.  Tickets tend to go fast.

We suggest you order your tickets as soon as you know your date and let us get after them, rather than writing to ask if tickets are available.  We've come to notice over time that in many cases by the time the buyer the finally orders after asking us, that the buyer has lost the chance for better seats or the game becomes sold out.

If you order and the games does happen to be sold out, we'll let you know and offer suggestions for alternate games or a full and complete refund at your choice.

Youth/Senior Prices and Post-Season Play

Teams have no youth or senior prices available in any reserved seat section.

We don't do tickets to post-season play because of the limited lead time once teams are known and almost immediate sellouts.

Ticket Pricing

Pricing is $43 per ticket.  This gives us enough cash on hand to get you a good reserved seat at any park.

You never pay more than the actual cost of the ticket.  Any change we get back from your ticket purchase is included in your ticket envelope.

Prices in Japan vary widely depending on the home team, day of week, and opponent.  Some tickets will cost less than others or at times there may be price promotions that Wayne uncovers.

Credit Card Fee

Each ticket is charged the $1.50 per ticket credit card fee that the credit card company charges us to complete the transaction.

Wayne's Fee

$50 per different stadium, not per same stadium or per ticket or per team, is what Wayne receives for getting your tickets and for being sure your tickets are properly delivered to you in Japan.

He is available to you while you're in Japan.  You'll have all his contact information.  He has proven very helpful in answering questions and offering assistance on a variety of topics.

Courier Fee

There's a $9 courier fee per address in Japan to where you'd like the tickets delivered.

Ordering Hints

Feel free to order tickets without yet having your hotel. You can always email us that information later.  Don't worry, we'll remind you.

We can take all major credit cards.  We do our credit card processing through PayPal, the largest such processor in the world.  We never see any of your credit card information.

Be sure to have Info@JapanBall.com listed as an address that will get through any spam blocker you may have.

To have the best seating available, order your tickets as soon as you can.  Should your game be sold out, you can either pick an alternate game or take a full refund.

Wayne, by the way, rarely gets shut out.

Japan Pro Baseball Fan Handbook and Media Guide

Few teams offer any sort of daily scorecard or program and, if they do, they are rudimentary and in Japanese.

I do not mean to be a salesperson, but allow me to suggest that you may get more insight into what's going on at the stadium and find the game that much more enjoyable with the Japan Pro Baseball Fan Handbook and Media Guide in English.

While there is no scorecard in the Guide, there is a great deal of information about the teams, the individual players, and records, plus loads of other data about Japanese pro baseball.

You can order the Guide below for delivery with your tickets for its regular price of $16.95 with no shipping charge.
